BREAKING NEWS! Ulster County Executive
Pat Ryan
just announced his candidacy for Congress Governor Hochul will call for a Special Election
to fill Congressman Delgado’s seat
within 10 days after Congressman Delgado
is sworn in as Lieutenant Governor
THEN, there will be a Special Election within 70-80 days
after the call is made
The 11 County Chairs of both parties will meet separately
and elect their respective candidate to stand for the Special Election
The winner of the Special Election will serve out
Congressman Delgado’s current term
under the current district lines
The November Election will serve the the NEW district lines
(to be announced soon)
and the candidates will run for Congress
at that time for the new term that begins in January 2023
